About Islam
Islam and what Muslims Believe
Islam is one of the three major monotheistic faiths. Muslims believe in one God, The Creator. They also believe that God sent prophets with a single message to guide humanity. This message was revealed in the Torah, the Gospels, and the Quran. As part of their faith, Muslims believe in all the prophets of the Hebrew Bible. They also believe in the Angels, and the Day of Judgement. Islam is the second largest religion in the world, after Christianity. Its adherents form the majority population in fifty-six countries worldwide. Only 20% of the 1.2 billion Muslims live in Arab countries. It is estimated that there are over 1 million Muslims in Canada.
