Newfoundland and Labrador consists of the island of Newfoundland with Labrador in mainland Canada. It is the eastern-most province in Canada with three cities. St. John's is the capital with Mount Pearl close by, both on the Avalon Peninsula, while Corner Brook is in the western portion of the island.
Newfoundland and Labrador has one university, the Memorial University of Newfoundland, with the main campus in St. John's, and the Wilfrid Grenfell campus in Corner Brook.
