The pervasiveness of racial and religious discrimination urges Muslim communities across Canada to take initiatives to empower their youth so that they can grow as respecting and respected Muslim Canadians. As an initiative in this direction, MANAL will be welcoming Dr. Mahmoud Haddara to address our youth this Sunday, November 12.
In an interactive workshop, Dr. Haddara will encourage our youth to reflect on why God created us different and provide some guidelines about how Muslims living in diverse societies like Canada can peacefully and respectfully navigate and negotiate differences.
The workshop will be held at the social hall of Masjid An Noor from 5.30 pm to 7.15 pm, followed by refreshments. The program will conclude at 8 pm with Isha prayer.
We encourage all children and youth who are 10 years and older to attend with their parents. Please note that this workshop is not intended for younger audiences. So we request your kind understanding and cooperation on that matter.
For any inquiries, please feel free to contact Br. Shibly, coordinator of MANAL Youth Club.
